SPOTLIGHT: AHA challenging legislators' cost-saving ideas

The American Hospital Association is not pleased with several proposals being considered by the Senate Finance Committee as approaches to lowering Medicare costs. The committee is considering a variety of options, including payment bundling, value-based purchasing and language intended to reduce readmissions, which members hope will collectively lower costs and help pay for reform.
