The information above is really scary when one considers and rapidly aging population, the advent of new and often aggressive illnesses such as H1N1 and the increasing criminal use of other people financial and medical information.
In a world of rapidly diminishing capability and facilities to turn to - the need for reform seems ever more important. Voices such as Edward Kennedy will be sorely missed for their clarity, evenhandedness, and the vast ability for looking beyond politics and mere influence peddling in return for donations.
