HHS spends $12M to promote reform in ad airing across 13 states

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services will spend at least $12 million on an ad that will air across 13 states to promote healthcare reform,The Hill's Healthwatch reported. The ad is set to begin Sept. 30 to encourage Americans to sign up for healthcare coverage when new insurance exchanges or marketplaces open on Oct. 1. The government will focus on states that have resisted healthcare reform, including Louisiana, Texas, Florida and Pennsylvania. In order for exchanges to succeed, they need participation from consumers in these states. Article
