Daschle: Health reform has '60 percent chance' of passing
Comments
60% chance--I'd give it about 30% on health care passing as long as Washington DC is run by the big lobbies instead of the President and Congress. The only people who will profit by the so-called health care reform plan will be the insurance companies, big pharmaceutical companies, and maybe surgeons. We once had some of the best health care in the world, now it's some of the worst. And as long as we don't have single-payer health care, as every member of Congress and the Obama administration has, people will die, or go broke when bankruptcy is a way that credit companies collect money from the poor, most of whom have used credit to go to the hospital, doctors and other health care professionals, housing (I did it when MA lost all rent control, I should know). Why should the Senate vote for health care reform that brings us to where all the civilized countries already are, when they can make millions of dollars by taking lobby money (see Joe Lieberman, 2.6 million from the health care lobbies, and one of 6 Senators still sitting with all that nice money and new ones being bribed now...
