AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon will help develop a well-coordinated e-health policy to benefit Texas residents as a board member of the Texas e-Health Alliance, a nonprofit organization of health information technology stakeholders
Founded in 2009, the Texas e-Health Alliance's overriding goal is to improve patient outcomes and expand access to quality health care across Texas by fostering an environment for the exchange of ideas and best practices among state policymakers, health care providers and the corporate, nonprofit and academic communities.
The alliance seeks to develop and promote comprehensive public policy initiatives to support the adoption of health information technologies, such as health information exchanges, electronic health and medical records, telemedicine and home health care and remote monitoring.
