WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- On Friday, September 24, 2010, the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD) will host a briefing on Capitol Hill featuring health care providers, state health officials and prevention/wellness professionals who will discuss delivery system reform efforts in the states based on provisions of the landmark Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

Discussion will also include the importance of preserving the Prevention and Wellness Fund, which finances many significant prevention and wellness initiatives and delivery system reforms, including access to care, health IT and care coordination. The Fund’s future was threatened recently as a potential pay-for in efforts to repeal the 1099 tax provision.
