EDISON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ITC Nexus Dx, a global provider of Point-of-Care testing systems and advanced diagnostic solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Sperzel as Chief Executive Officer, reporting to ITC Nexus’ Board of Directors. The appointment is effective on September 6, 2011.
Mr. Sperzel is a dynamic business leader with an outstanding track record of accomplishments. He possesses 24 years experience in the global diagnostics market, including large and small companies, with substantial experience in Point-of-Care coagulation and critical care/blood gas testing.
Mr. Sperzel joins ITC Nexus Dx after serving most recently as President of Axis-Shield Inc., a company focused on Point-of-Care immunoassay systems for diabetes, infection, and cardiovascular disease. Previous to that Mr. Sperzel held several leadership positions with Bayer Diagnostics, Instrumentation Laboratory and Boehringer Mannheim Diagnostics (Roche). He currently serves on the New England board of the American Diabetes Association and serves as an advisor to the board of the Diagnostic Marketing Association, where he previously served as President.
