IDGA’s Electronic Health Records Summit for Government and Military will Convene its Third Meeting October 27 – 29, 2010

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) is pleased to announce the third installment of the Electronic Health Records Summit, scheduled for October 27 – 29 , 2010, at the Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner in Vienna, VA.

In October, 2009 IDGA convened its first Electronic Health Records, and looked at broad issues ranging from the current status of VA/DoD interoperability, open source systems, AHLTA and the NHIN, to the future of a VLER. In May, 2010, the discussion and debate continued, exploring meaningful use and security and privacy concerns.

This third iteration brings together the most diverse group of speaker faculty members thus far and will focus on real results from many of the interoperability pilots and Beacon Community programs. Discussions will also include current progress on meaningful use and standards, medical device integration and regulation from the FDA, advancing the NHIN, security and privacy management, and many more crucial topics surrounding EHRs and HIE.

Speaker faculty includes:

  • RADM Theresa Cullen, CIO, Indian Health Service
