Huawei Makes Donation to Children’s Medical Center at Legacy in Plano

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for global operators, made a $50,000 monetary donation to Children’s Medical Center at Legacy in Plano, Texas. The donation intends to help the hospital’s operational needs and also support technology in the medical industry. As part of the donation, Children’s at Legacy will also dedicate a patient room in Huawei’s name on its campus.

Children’s is private and not-for-profit, and focuses on making children’s life better during its more than 570,000 visits each year. As the only academic healthcare facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18, the hospital provides patient care ranging from simple eye exams to specialized treatment in areas such as heart disease, hematology-oncology and cystic fibrosis. In addition, Children’s is a major pediatric kidney, liver, intestine, heart and bone marrow transplant facility. To better serve the region’s growing pediatric population, the 72-bed Plano campus opened in 2008.
