Ted Hong

Ted Hong

Ted is the Chief Marketing & Engagement Officer for Solera Health, a healthcare startup redefining and streamlining digital healthcare delivery with a value-based, on-benefit solution that measurably drives down total cost of care for payers and employers. Solera has raised over $120M to date and serves top health plans such as Aetna, Anthem/Elevance and Blue Shield of California.  In his role he oversees member engagement, enterprise marketing, and care center operations for the company.  Before Solera, he was President of HelloTech, one of the nation’s leading providers of on-demand technical services, including smart home installation, broadband optimization, and computer support. Furthermore, he was the Co-Founder of Dropoff, a startup based in Austin, Texas dedicated to transforming same-day delivery for businesses.  Prior to that he was the Chief Marketing Officer at Fandango where he built one of the most recognized and well-liked brands in entertainment.  He was there from its early stages through its acquisition by Comcast and then served as a senior executive within Comcast Interactive Media and NBCUniversal.  At Fandango, Ted oversaw brand development, customer acquisition, market research, public relations, and the B2B promotional business and retail gift card P&L. Experience prior to entering technology includes brand management, professional sports, and management consulting.  Hong holds a B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

John Santelli

John Santelli

John Santelli joined Solera in March of 2024 and is currently serving as Solera’s CEO. He has over 37 years of healthcare and healthcare technology experience. John brings leadership and expertise in the healthcare system, healthcare technology, quality, and scalability. John also serves as a managing director at Cloverfield’s Capital. John joined Cloverfield’s in May of 2023 after retiring from a thirty-seven-year career at UnitedHealth Group where he served as their CIO since 2005. In this capacity, John helped to establish and lead Optum Technology, the division that serves the broad technology needs of both Optum and UnitedHealthcare businesses. John started his career as a software engineer at MetLife Insurance Company’s health care division in 1986, acquired by UnitedHealth Group in 1996. He has extensive experience in software engineering high-volume transaction processing systems across health care administrative, financial, and clinical systems. He has played a pivotal role in technology scale and development at UnitedHealth Group, leading many transformative and integration initiatives. John holds a master’s degree in computer science from Union College. He received his Bachelor of Science in computer science from State University of New York, Brockport. John is happily married with three children and enjoys family time, sailing, skiing, and playing piano and guitar.

Byron Crowe

Byron Crowe, MD

Dr. Byron Crowe, Chief Medical Officer at Solera Health, leads clinical strategy, focusing on transformative health outcomes. Formerly Solera's Medical Director, he designed programs for Falls Prevention, Mental Health and more. Crowe currently serves as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and practices clinically at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. His work in improving health systems at scale has spanned large academic medical centers, international non-profits and digital health innovators.

Ed Liebowitz

Ed Liebowitz

Ed Liebowitz has spent more than a decade building, commercializing and scaling digital health businesses ¾ serving stakeholders across the care continuum.  He has developed products representing a broad spectrum of digital health use cases from diet & fitness applications to AI solutions for clinical decision support. He is currently EVP, Chief Strategy Officer at Solera Health.

In the early 2010s, Ed managed two of the top ten grossing health and fitness apps in the iTunes store, launched the Mayo Clinic Diet and helped build the Payer / Provider business unit at Everyday Health.

Ed then joined Becton Dickinson to lead their digital diabetes efforts, spearheading their first consumer-facing mobile application. Prior to joining Solera, Ed served as Chief Product Officer at HealthReveal, where he launched an analytic revenue stream, expanded product management capabilities and transformed the company to an agile delivery model.   

Prior to his endeavors in digital health, Ed held a variety of analytic and operational improvement roles at financial services firms including Standard & Poor’s and Brown Brothers Harriman.  He holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, an MA in Political Science from Fordham University and a BA in economics from Hobart College.

Zeeshan Syed

Zeeshan Syed, Health at Scale

Zeeshan Syed is the CEO of Health at Scale. He was previously a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford, an Associate Professor with Tenure in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at U-Michigan and part of the early-stage team for Google[X] Life Sciences (now Verily). Zeeshan has received multiple awards for his research on healthcare-specialized machine intelligence, including a National Science Foundation CAREER award. He received a PhD from MIT EECS and Harvard Medical School in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering and MEng and SB degrees in EECS from MIT.
