San Diego Organization of Healthcare Leaders Announces 5th Annual Conference

The San Diego Organization of Healthcare Leaders () today announced that the will take place Nov. 1, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at Schaetzel Center on the Scripps La Jolla Campus. The conference has become a leading platform for San Diego healthcare leaders to exchange knowledge and examine key issues facing the healthcare industry. SOHL is the San Diego chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

The conference, “Strange Bedfellows: Building and Sustaining Alliances in Healthcare,” will feature speakers from advocacy organizations, local media, and prominent San Diego healthcare organizations including Scripps Health, the San Diego Regional Healthcare Information Exchange, TRICARE, Emergency Medical Services and the County of San Diego Health and Human Services. Speakers and attendees will explore the growing need for healthcare organizations to build and sustain strong partnerships with non-care organizations that share a similar commitment to ensuring the quality of and access to care for patients and the people who care for them.

“Now in its fifth year, the conference has become one of the foremost events where our community’s healthcare leaders can further their professional development and thereby advance the healthcare industry as a whole,” said Gary Fybel, FACHE, CEO of Scripps La Jolla and ACHE regent for California, San Diego/Imperial Counties. “Additionally, one of the primary goals of SOHL is to advance the knowledge of students, early, mid and senior healthcare careerists, and I am proud that we are able to provide an effective forum for the vital exchange of information and education necessary to our community.”

Conference attendees can receive 3.0 face-to-face ACHE credits and 2.5 qualified education credits.
