Banner Health, one of the largest nonprofit health care systems in the country, has partnered with Krames StayWell, LLC, the largest provider of Customer Acquisition, Population Health Management, and Patient and Consumer Education solutions in the industry, to provide an enterprise solution for delivering patient education and engagement programs to patients across the entire continuum of care.

Operating 23 hospitals and other related health entities and services in seven states, Banner Health selected Krames StayWell to help meet the organization’s goal of standardizing patient education, licensing patient education content for use within the electronic medical resources solutions across its entire ambulatory care network.

“With Banner operating an Accountable Care Organization, or ACO, we have been challenged to work collaboratively,” said Theresa Lindahl, team leader for patient education at Banner. “We needed to streamline the processes to deliver a consistent message across the whole continuum. Krames StayWell’s solution allows us to deliver the same message to the patient on subsequent visits, in all different facilities. That consistency helps improve readmissions and the reinforcement helps the patient manage their health.”

Lindahl noted that the ability to access the content from the system’s many different electronic medical records was a key benefit. “We win because it’s streamlined, and the patient wins because it is standardized,” said Lindahl.

John George, Executive Vice President at Krames StayWell, added, “We are honored to be working with Banner Health. Krames StayWell recently launched our ACO 360° solution, a comprehensive patient engagement solution for ACOs, so working with a pioneer ACO like Banner Health is very exciting. We have the technical capability and content quality to help Banner Health achieve their goal of improving communication and providing effective, consistent messages across their entire network. We are happy to be a part of the process at Banner Health, whose mission to improve patient’s lives, and whose high standards of care are so widely recognized.”

Banner Health is using Krames StayWell patient and consumer health content in its acute, emergency, and ambulatory facilities as well as on its website, .
