WellPoint Names Jerry Kertesz, VP, Sales, and Perry Pogany, VP, Account Management for National Accounts

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE: WLP) announced today that Jerry Kertesz has been named vice president of sales and Perry Pogany has been named vice president of account management for its National Accounts business.

Kertesz is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and health care technology. He has served as the company's National Accounts vice president of account management for more than four years. In his new role, he is responsible for new business sales and consultant and broker relations.

Pogany has more than 25 years of industry experience in sales and account management, account administration, network management and labor relations and has served as vice president for Auto and Interplan national accounts for 12 years. In his new role, he is responsible for managing existing accounts along with developing marketing strategies.

Kertesz received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University at San Bernardino, and an MBA from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.  

Pogany received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from Youngstown State University.
