WellPoint CEO: Exchange glitches won't stop March enrollment boost

WellPoint's chief executive says he doesn't think the glitches that have plagued health insurance exchanges since October will deter an expected boost in enrollment come March, Reuters reported. CEO Joseph Swedish told investors at a conference he expects to see an increase in enrollment for exchange plans ahead of the primary enrollment deadline. That enrollment bump will likely help accelerate WellPoint's growth, even though the federal marketplace is still working out problems with back-end technology that have forced insurers to verify some enrollments manually and caused some applications to get lost or duplicated.
