UnitedHealth Group to Release New Report Identifying Billions of Dollars in Potential Savings For States Facing Unpreceden

The recent passage of the federal health reform legislation calls for the expansion of the Medicaid program at a time when many states are grappling with significant fiscal pressures. A new report from UnitedHealth Group offers federal and state policymakers across the country with a roadmap to save billions of dollars over the next decade while also modernizing the Medicaid program to meet the demand of a projected 16 million new enrollees.

 

The report is the third in a series from the UnitedHealth Center for Health Reform & Modernization, which seeks to offer policymakers “real-world” options on how to improve the quality of care while reducing costs.
