Recent Expansion of Services to Meet Local Patient Needs
Satellite Healthcare Furthers Commitment to Bay Area Dialysis Patients with Convenient New Centers and Treatment Options

Satellite Healthcare, one of the nation's first and leading not-for-profit providers of kidney dialysis services and a major sponsor of kidney research, continues to honor its commitment to San Francisco Bay Area patients with five new dialysis center openings in the past six months, and plans for new centers before the end of the year.
The new locations, which began opening their doors in March, have brought dialysis services to local residents with End Stage Renal Disease in Oakland, San Jose, San Leandro, Daly City and surrounding communities. In addition to the convenience of new in-center dialysis treatment offerings, Satellite also opened a new home dialysis treatment center in Daly City offering patients the option of receiving training for at-home dialysis.
“As a local not-for-profit organization, our commitment to the Bay Area is a part of our DNA and has been since we opened our doors 40 years ago,” said Marc Branson, Satellite Healthcare’s Executive Vice President. “Our goal is to provide those with kidney disease convenient access to the very best in dialysis care. More than 26 million Americans have Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), with an additional 20 million at increased risk. Those with diabetes and hypertension have an especially high likelihood of developing the disease, as well as certain ethnicities, including African-Americans, Latinos, Pacific Islanders, and American Indians. Based in San Jose, Satellite Healthcare has more than 40 in-center locations and 18 home dialysis centers nationwide, servicing more than 5,500 patients coast-to-coast.
