Portico Systems Announces Portico 9.0 Integrated Provider Management Platform

Health Plans Can Now Unlock Their Provider Network Performance for Affordable Care

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Portico Systems, the leader in Integrated Provider Management (IPM) solutions, today announced the launch of Portico 9.0, the newest version of its IPM platform. The platform enables health plans to simplify the design, maintenance, reimbursement, and performance management of provider networks while facilitating provider-patient collaboration.

Insurance reform and continued market pressure for a more competitive, higher quality and cost effective health system are resulting in a transformation of the plan-to-provider relationship. In order to create an affordable care promise, plans are leveraging provider networks as building blocks for the creation of value-based products, performance-based contracts and quality-based payment programs.

Leading plans recognize that future success is contingent on providing unique medical and economic value to each customer segment. As a result, plans are investing in provider management capabilities to innovate how they design networks for care, contract for care and pay for the value of care. By implementing these changes, plans are targeting a 25-35 percent decrease in administrative costs, 10-20 percent increase in provider satisfaction and 1-5 percent improvement in network performance.

“This release of our IPM platform enables our customers to unlock the performance of their provider networks while significantly lowering administrative and medical costs,” said Ned Moore, chairman and CEO of Portico Systems. “Our customers are already leveraging this platform to increase their value to the group and individual markets. With this platform our customers can confidently advance product, care and payment innovation.”
