Poll: ACA popularity at all-time low

Fifty-three percent of Americans held unfavorable views of the Affordable Care Act in July, which is up eight percentage points from last month, according to the latest Kaiser Health Tracking Poll. Despite opposition to the law, the poll found that 60 percent of the public would still like to see their representatives in Congress work toward improving the law, rather than replacing or repealing it. Only about 37 percent of the public is aware that when enrolling in a coverage, there is the option for a private health plan. With ACA news taking a backseat this past month, 35 percent of those polled say coverage has decreased, while 11 percent believe it has increased. Poll
