New Hampshire becomes latest state to expand Medicaid

New Hampshire became the sixth state to expand its own version of Medicaid Friday, reported The Hill. The expansion will help around 35,000 New Hampshirites buy private insurance. "The New Hampshire Health Protection Program is reducing healthcare cost-shifting onto our families and businesses, strengthening the health of our workforce, and boosting our economy," Gov. Maggie Hassan (D) wrote in a statement. Hassan worked with the Republican-controlled legislature to negotiate the plan. Article
