Nancy Waltermire Named Chief Compliance Officer at Aveta Inc.

Industry Veteran to Lead Compliance Efforts

FORT LEE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aveta Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of managed healthcare services, announced today the addition of Nancy Waltermire as chief compliance officer.

Waltermire’s primary responsibility will be overseeing and managing compliance issues within Aveta. In this role, Waltermire will work to ensure that Aveta is complying with regulatory requirements and that all company employees are complying with internal policies and procedures. Waltermire will report to Aveta president and CEO, Dr. Richard Shinto.

Waltermire has a strong background in healthcare compliance. Most recently, she was in the compliance area at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey in Newark. In that role, she managed the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Contract with CMS and provided regulatory support to all areas of operations within the plan. Prior to that, Waltermire was the manager of Medicare operations/compliance at AmeriChoice Health Services in Newark and was the government contracts administrator at HIP Health Plan of New Jersey in North Brunswick.

Waltermire has been a speaker at the HMO Group Annual Medicaid Managed Care Conference and at the AAHP Annual Managed Care Conference. She is also active with many industry groups such as the Human Services Managed Care Task Force and the Human Services DYFS Mandated Managed Care Committee, among others. She is currently a member of the Delaware Valley Chapter Scleroderma Foundation Board of Directors. Waltermire attended Middlesex County College and Raritan Valley Community College. She has earned certifications in ICD 9 Coding, CPT 4 Coding, Medical Terminology, Hospital Contracting and Total Quality Management.
