Lawmaker: Release details on exchange rates now

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) on Monday urged U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to release information on premiums for health plans being sold through the 34 federally run state health insurance exchanges earlier than next month, The Hill's Healthwatch reported. In a letter to Sebelius, Blunt complained rate negotiations "have been conducted behind closed doors, without assurances that a fair process has been observed or that the negotiations will result in better insurance products for consumers."
