The nonpartisan government accountability organization Cause of Action is investigating the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to determine if the agency violated laws that prohibit certain promotional tactics for the Affordable Care Act, reports The Hill. Cause of Action believes HUD may have used forbidden lobbying and propaganda prompted by the Obama administration. "If HUD was using its resources to benefit HHS then they're not using those resources to focus on HUD programs and that would raise concerns under the Anti-Deficiency Act," CoA Executive Director Dan Epstein told The Hill.
