Sebelius to highlight Medicare-covered preventive services, extended enrollment period from October 15 to December 7
HERSHEY, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- On Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius will discuss the extended Medicare Open Enrollment Period and new benefits under the Affordable Care Act at Mohler Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The enrollment period will begin earlier this year on Saturday, October 15 and has expanded to seven weeks to allow eligible beneficiaries more time to find the best plan that meets their needs. At the event, Secretary Sebelius will also take questions from seniors about the new choices and benefits that Medicare now covers under the Affordable Care Act.
