HealthPartners announced today the launch of its new private exchange solution, , designed to keep costs in check for employers while providing more choice and simplicity during the open enrollment process for members.

For employers, Plan for Me is easy to administer and available with no hidden fees. Plan for Me supports several prepackaged plans, including new defined contribution and performance network options. Employers can also offer custom plans with this shopping tool.

For members, Plan for Me provides an automated and more personalized health plan shopping experience. With a few simple questions about current and expected health care needs, members can view their plan options and decide which is most appropriate for them. Members can compare health plan costs, provider coverage and prescription medicine costs side-by-side, selecting and enrolling in the plan they like best. The information members provide is completely confidential and does not affect the cost of their plans.

“Employers today are facing a lot of change with health care reform. New costs and rules about employee health benefits are making this year’s open enrollment challenging to navigate, and that can trickle down to employees,” said Andrea Walsh, chief marketing officer at HealthPartners. “Plan for Me is one way HealthPartners is bringing more control and ease to employers as they offer health care and employees as they shop for health care.”

This is the third of three recent initiatives from HealthPartners designed to make administering and finding health care more simple for employers and members. In addition to launching Plan for Me, HealthPartners announced new health care services available to members when traveling by teaming up with Assist America, Inc., and a treatment cost calculator allowing members to compare prices of medical services nationwide. All three initiatives work to ensure an exceptional experience for members, something the Bloomington-based company has been recognized for by various organizations. Most recently, J.D. Power awarded HealthPartners the “Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in the Minnesota/Wisconsin Region.” about the J.D. Power recognition.
