Health Net Again Named to Hispanic Business Magazine’s Diversity Elite Top 60

Company Ranks Highest among Health Insurance Companies

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Health Net, Inc. (NYSE:HNT) today announced it was again named to Hispanic Business Magazine’s 2010 list of “Top 60 Diversity Elite,” with a ranking of No. 23. This is the company’s third consecutive year on the list. Health Net moved up 21 spots from last year and ranked highest among all health insurers.

According to the September edition of Hispanic Business Magazine, the factors determining the 2010 Diversity Elite involve more than 32 variables that measure a company’s commitment to Hispanic hiring, promotion, marketing, philanthropy and supplier diversity. “We are honored to be on this prestigious list for the third consecutive year. We know that employing a significant Hispanic associate base helps us better understand and serve the needs of our Hispanic customers,” said Karin Mayhew, senior vice president of Organization Effectiveness. “We continually strive toward a more diverse workplace and affordable products to make health care more accessible to the multi-cultural populations we serve.”
