Executive director leaves Get Covered Illinois

In what is just the latest of major changes at Get Covered Illinois, the organization's executive director has left her post, Crain's Chicago Business reports. Karin Zosel had been at the helm of Get Covered Illinois only since March, but moved on as of Aug. 1, according to a spokeswoman from the organization. She had been among just three executives left at the organization since it laid off most of its employees in its move from under the purview of Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner's office to the state insurance department. Illinois is among 37 states that route consumers to the federal platform, HealthCare.gov, according to the article, and the recent changes at Get Covered Illinois have led some to question whether Rauner wants to maintain his Democratic predecessor's efforts to maintain a "robust marketplace."
