Early exchange enrollment tops 100K

In its first report, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services found 106,185 people so far have enrolled in and selected a health exchange plan. Of that, 79,391 chose a plan in a state-based exchange while 26,794 people chose a plan in federally-facilitated Marketplace. Moreover, more than 975,400 people have been determined eligible but have yet to select an exchange plan. HHS also pointed out that the exchange's first month enrollment experience exceeded first month enrollment in the Massachusetts Health Connector, which only saw 123 people sign up.
