- NCQA’s Independent Rankings Are Based on Quality of Care, Customer Service and Accreditation Scores
- Customer Centered Approach Includes a 24/7 Service Line
BLOOMFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CIGNA HealthCare of Texas has been ranked as the top rated health plan in the state, according to NCQA's Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2010-11 - Private.
The rankings are based on the NCQA's measurement of a health plan's performance in three categories: improving health care quality, providing responsive customer service and achieving high scores on NCQA accreditation surveys.

Rankings are based on the voluntary submission of health care quality results as measured through HEDIS® (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) and customer service scores based on customer surveys through CAHPS® (Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Systems).
