CIGNA Rated as the Top Health Plan in Tennessee by National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)*

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CIGNA HealthCare of Tennessee has been ranked as the highest rated health plan in the state, according to National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)*. The health plan also scored a ranking of five on customer satisfaction and also did well on quality of care and accreditation scores.

Quality results are measured through HEDIS® (HealthCare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) and customer service scores are based on customer surveys through CAHPS® (Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Systems). Scores are also based on NCQA accreditation surveys.
