DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CIGNA Corporation announced today the appointment of Tom Dameron as president and general manager for CIGNA HealthCare, mountain states region.
Dameron serves as the senior leader, responsible for CIGNA's competitiveness in the market to ensure the health, well-being and personal security of CIGNA's customers and improving its customer service and satisfaction in the market. He is also responsible for ensuring the quality of health care in the mountain states region for the company’s employer clients.
“We are delighted that Tom has joined the CIGNA team,” said Jeff Terrill, regional vice president for CIGNA's western region. “His diverse background in the health care industry and over 25 year tenure will help CIGNA build stronger relationships with clients, producers and health care professionals to further grow CIGNA’s presence in this important market.”
Dameron joins CIGNA with considerable experience. His most recent position was with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, where he was responsible for sales and account management of a 1.2 million customer health plan. He worked for United Healthcare where he held responsibility for its government segment, and he has managed health and welfare benefits for US West in Colorado.
Dameron earned a bachelor of science degree in statistical analysis from Arizona State University. He was born and raised in Golden, Colo. Dameron has relocated to Denver.
