Aetna merges iTriage with WellMatch

Aetna has merged its health app-maker subsidiary, iTriage, with its cost transparency business, WellMatch, to form one group, according to MobiHealthNews. The iTriage app helps customers connect with the right physician through a symptom navigator.

As a result of the reorganization, about 26 iTriage employees have been laid off, according to the article. An iTriage spokesperson said the goal of the new project is to increase cost transparency, and that the group hopes to "deliver a powerful and unique set of digital decision-support tools" for customers to take control of their health. Article
