Aetna expands CarePass to employee incentives

Aetna already makes its CarePass app ecosystem and data platform available to anyone; come this summer, the insurer will add capabilities to connect CarePass data to employee incentive programs, according to MobiHealthNews. Dan Conroy, head of business development at CarePass said employer spend an average of $520 annually on incentives per employee, which leads to a 30 percent increase in health engagement. CarePass will track exercise, nutrition, mood or medication adherence, and reward employees for not only doing their best but also trying their best, the article noted. Incorporating existing CarePass data into Aetna care programs will enable doctors, nurses and nutritionists to track their patient's health data and put that data to work. Article
