Qualcomm, Cambridge Consultants partner on Continua-certified cellular device

Wireless telecommunications equipment maker Qualcomm continues its foray into mobile healthcare by joining with British technology developer Cambridge Consultants to create a standard wireless communications module to connect devices certified by the Continua Health Alliance to remote servers or the Internet. The platform combines Qualcomm's Wearable Mobile Device cellular unit with Cambridge Consultants' Vena software to collect and transmit data via the Continua Wide Area Network interface for telemedicine applications. Article
