NetDelivery additionally helps Osler meet goal of assuring and tracking report delivery
Natick, MA – June 4, 2013 – To speed patient report delivery to healthcare providers and obtain confirmation that reports have been delivered, William Osler Health System (Osler) in Brampton, Ontario, Canada implemented NetDelivery, Interbit Data’s report distribution solution. Moving from a time-consuming manual system for report distribution and delivery confirmation to NetDelivery’s automated capabilities, Osler has reduced the delivery time of patient reports to physicians. The delivery time of a significant volume of reports is reduced from weeks to minutes.

Most importantly, NetDelivery confirms a report’s delivery, providing Osler with the assurance it required, and an audit trail for reports not delivered successfully because of an error on the recipient’s end, such as a disconnected fax machine.

NetDelivery securely distributes reports from a healthcare facility’s healthcare information system (HCIS) to multiple recipients and locations via fax, encrypted print stream, encrypted file or email, increasing the efficiency of delivering patient information to reduce time and costs and improve patient care.
NetDelivery is used by numerous departments across Osler for sending reports to the various healthcare providers who are involved in a patient’s care. The reports created and interpreted by the diagnostic imaging department and the test results generated by the laboratory are distributed through NetDelivery. The health information management (HIM) system, which physicians’ use to dictate notes from a consultation or their interpretation of a test result, also delivers reports through NetDelivery to patients’ other healthcare providers.
