US Department of Health and Human Services Recognizes Rise Health With Health Data Award

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rise Health, a privately-held healthcare services company providing technology enabled clinical support for primary care physicians, announced today that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”) and the Institute of Medicine (“IOM”) recognized the company with a “Best of Demos and Expo” prize at the Second Annual Health Data Initiative Forum, held Thursday, June 9th, in Bethesda, Maryland. Rise Health was one of two companies attending that received an award of distinction.

The Health Data Initiative is a public-private collaboration. Exhibitors were selected from a large field of applicants and their demonstrations were judged by leading experts in healthcare technology and innovation. With the goal to improve health through the power of information, the forum showcased the use of public data and innovation to support informed decision making by patients, healthcare providers and community officials. All participating companies or organizations were judged on the use of government data, real world impact and design excellence.

Rise Health executives demonstrated the company’s novel patient management platform integrated with educational content from MedLine Plus Connect, a service of the National Library of Medicine, NIH, and HHS. Rise’s demonstration stood out for its ability to integrate its technology with public content in an application that shows promising impact at a national level.

Brad Hummel, Rise Health Chief Executive Officer, commented, “The acknowledgement of Rise Health’s value proposition is exceptionally rewarding and is a tribute to the efforts and innovation of our team. We’ve designed technology at Rise to harness information and empower decision making for every member of a care team, freeing up valuable physician time for patient interaction that leads to more effective and coordinated care.”
