Magnolia Health Corporation, based in Tulare, California, is notifying patients that a person impersonating the company's CEO used his email address to gain access to personal information of employees.
On Feb. 3, the malicious actor used CEO Kenny Moyle's email address to obtain an Excel spreadsheet which included employee names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security Numbers, job titles, salaries and hours, and other information, according to a letter to employees.
While the person behind the hack is not yet known, Magnolia said it reported the incident to law enforcement and also is offering affected employees ID theft prevention services. Letter (.pdf)
