Treo Solutions, a leading healthcare transformation company leveraging enhanced data to deliver value to payers, providers and government, announced today that L. Gordon Moore, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Treo Solutions, will participate on a panel at the fourth annual Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Summit on June 14 at 9:20 a.m. The ACO Summit brings together leading policymakers, experts, and ACO implementers to provide unique and in-depth insights on ACO implementation and ongoing healthcare reform. Dr. Moore will share his insights during the session, “Patient Engagement in Healthcare Decision Making.”

“The healthcare industry is focused on the Triple Aim: improving outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and lowering costs,” said Dr. Moore. “However, to achieve the Triple Aim, individuals are required to change their behavior. This panel will systematically unmask issues that get between people and the desired outcomes, develop interventions that address these issues, and identify provider variables to inform the deployment of plan resources.”

At Treo Solutions, Dr. Moore helps plans and provider systems prepare for total cost-of-care contracting and effective population health management. He has been a core faculty member of the office practices community of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a member of the Institute of Medicine's (IOM) subcommittee on Pay for Performance, and a reviewer for the IOM's seminal reports, "To Err is Human" and "Crossing the Quality Chasm.” He serves as advisor, expert, and faculty to numerous initiatives working to achieve better health outcomes while bending the cost curve. His work focuses on the intersection of operations, measurement, patient experience, staff satisfaction, outcomes, and cost.

Other experts on the panel include: Shannon Brownlee, MS, Senior Vice President of the Lown Institute; Glyn Elwyn, BA, MB, BCh, MSc, FRCGP, PhD, Visiting Professor and Senior Scientist at The Dartmouth Center for HealthCare Delivery Science; Judith H. Hibbard, DrPH, Senior Researcher at the Health Policy Research Group and the Professor Emerita, Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management at the University of Oregon; and Chris Saigal, MD, MPH, Associate Professor and Vice Chair, Director of Health Services Research at the UCLA Department of Urology, Institute of Urologic Oncology.
