SynerMed Groups Receive Standards of Excellence Award—Achieving California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG) Highest Four-Star Rating among 84 Physician Groups in California
Inc., one of the largest Managed Services Organizations (MSO) in the country, announced today that they received the Standards of Excellence (SOE) Award from the California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG). The survey assesses how healthcare systems deliver the set forth by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
CAPG members who participate in the are required to demonstrate optimal patient experience, better population health and affordable care. The survey helps provide greater transparency and offer consumers and employers a way to evaluate medical groups when making important decisions about healthcare.

Three SynerMed Groups, comprised of 450,000 members – and – achieved the Four-Star “Elite” Status Award, the highest recognition among 84 physician groups in California.
“Our physicians provide care for the Medi-Cal population, who are among the sickest and economically disadvantaged,” said Mason. “Historically the Medi-Cal program has been regarded as low quality care. At SynerMed it’s part of our mission to change that.”
Each SynerMed group excelled by surpassing a peer-defined threshold score in four categories:
