SPOTLIGHT: Physician IT adoption still poor--so what next?

At this month's meeting of the American Health Information Community, members were talking over the most recent round of research outlining the slow uptake of EMRs by physicians. With most unable to afford fully-fledged systems on their own, how can the industry get them on board, members asked each other?  Most seemed to agree that the government will have to take a significant role, but even that may not be enough.
