> A nurse working as an employee of the Sheriff's Department in Jefferson County, N.Y. allegedly accessed confidential electronic records of patients at Samaritan Medical Center, the Watertown Daily Times reports. The nurse had been authorized to look at the medical records of inmates under her care at the county jail, but a weekly audit of the system found that she also looked at other patient records. > The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has posted technical descriptions and guidance for Blue Button+, a more automated version of the Blue Button, Government Health IT reports.
