Raleigh Hand Center of North Carolina Selects ChartLogic EHR Suite

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Raleigh Hand Center, a five-physician medical group based in Raleigh, N.C., has selected the ChartLogic EHR Suite. With five orthopedic hand surgeons and six rehabilitation therapists, the group is one of the largest surgical subspecialist medical groups in the Raleigh metropolitan area. ChartLogic, Inc., based in Salt Lake City, is a leading supplier of EHR systems to surgical specialists nationwide.

The Raleigh Hand Center has purchased the ChartLogic EHR Suite including the ChartLogic EMR (electronic medical record), ChartLogic Document Management, ChartLogic ePrescribe, ChartLogic Patient Portal and ChartLogic Patient Education modules. With these tools, physicians in the medical group will be able to prescribe medications electronically, meet the upcoming ICD-10 requirements, achieve Meaningful Use, and communicate with patients through a patient portal.

“After evaluating a number of different EHR systems, we selected ChartLogic because our physicians preferred its ease of use, particularly the navigation and voice recognition system, and were impressed with the company’s reputation for exceptional customer support,” said Coleen Zavatson, practice manager, Raleigh Hand Center.

Zavatson noted that with a high number of non-recurring patients, she expected that moving to an electronic system from paper records would provide an increase in efficiency and reduce the burden of hunting down and organizing paper charts.

“With many different EHR systems available to choose from, we are proud that our customer service and product features set us apart when compared with other vendors,” said Brad Melis, founder, ChartLogic. “Raleigh Hand Center is a cutting-edge, high-volume medical group, that is now poised to meet the challenges of Meaningful Use, ICD-10 and other new requirements with the help of the ChartLogic system.”

ChartLogic’s EHR suite has earned full (complete system) ONC-ATCB certification for the government’s program for meaningful use of EHRs. More than two dozen ChartLogic customers have already qualified for meaningful use incentives.
