, a leading provider of , , and software and services, and ™ (PremloCare™), a healthcare corporation offering innovative telemedicine programs that deliver personalized and affordable healthcare to patients, today joined forces to launch a new national healthcare platform that aims to provide patients with higher-quality medical care with their own providers through a combination of cloud-based software and services from both companies.

CareCloud’s EHR and practice management suite has been chosen and will now act as the new backbone of the PremloCare NexusMD™ program that allows patients to create their own healthcare nexus through a social media based portal. Through the program, patients can engage their own healthcare providers through a wide variety of patented PremloCare™ technologies via the Internet, telephone or smart phone applications for accelerated diagnosis and better continuity-of-care.

The initial deployment of this new platform will have more than 800 participating caregivers providing care to roughly 1,500 patients throughout Southern California. The PremloCare program will allow for more convenient care while helping to decrease delays in outpatient healthcare insurance premiums, address a growing physician shortage and declining reimbursement by allowing patients to quickly schedule real-time appointments with their own participating healthcare providers. PremloCare is offering the program to providers at no cost for the first year. In early 2014, PremloCare members will also have an additional unique benefit for accelerated pharmaceuticals through PremloCare’s therapy program currently under development.

“We are excited to partner with CareCloud and bring to healthcare a unique platform that addresses many of the reimbursement and technological barriers that have hindered the wider adoption of remote healthcare by key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystems,” said A. Latham Staples, CEO of PremloCare. “Our platform will help address a growing access to care issue while also delivering a more convenient way for patients to receive the care they require when they need it. Having a cloud-based EHR and practice management system like CareCloud’s supporting our platform will allow us to scale it faster and enable wider adoption by caregivers and patients.”

"As an active working mother, PremloCare's programs allow for me to continually and easily engage in the on-going healthcare needs of all of my children, including my autistic child who requires special care and attention," said Lisa S. Kove, a San Diego mother of five. "Now I don’t have to take time off from work to make sure my children are receiving the care they need, as PremloCare's programs allow me to engage in their care remotely."

“We designed CareCloud with a cloud-based, open architecture that allows a growing range of innovative and venture-backed care delivery models like PremloCare’s to easily leverage and build on our platform so they can tackle the diverse challenges that healthcare faces,” said Albert Santalo, CEO of CareCloud. “It’s clear that physicians feel strained in their ability to successfully operate their practices amid growing patient volumes and falling reimbursements. The PremloCare offering addresses these issues and grants providers the ability to care for their patients when they need it.”

In May of 2013, CareCloud, in partnership with QuantiaMD, launched the first that is designed to provide a voice to U.S. physician practices regarding issues impacting the financial and operational health of their practices. The key findings of the PPI study was that the 5,012 physician participants were two-thirds more likely to foresee a downward trend in profitability for the year ahead than a positive one. In addition, 48% of physiciansdo not foresee the ability to accept new patients from Accountable Care Act, which could dramatically impact access to care in the years ahead. PremloCare’s new platform addresses both of these growing issues facing physician practices, while also enabling greater continuity-of-care.

PremloCare™ delivers convenient access to affordable outpatient continuity of healthcare, 24/7, 365 days a year. With PremloCare™ pharmaceutical needs are delivered when the patient needs them, in the comfort of their home or while on the go. PremloCare™ reduces the need for waiting rooms, hard to get appointments, and unnecessary trips to clinics or the hospital.
