the only organization in the country offering healthcare providers a full suite of revenue-cycle management services, has been certified as a “Gold” Electronic Health Records (EHRs) Technology Vendor in the inaugural Health IT Quality Solutions™ program sponsored by Quest Diagnostics. Office Ally is one of only a handful of companies in the country to receive this high honor.
The Health IT Quality Solutions program is designed to help assure physicians that they will receive a quality experience that meets their clinical and business needs when they select a company with this “seal of approval.” The gold certification means that not only did Office Ally meet stringent criteria for innovation, capacity and enhanced implementation, but that the company’s EHR product also provides physicians advanced functionality and other benefits that contribute to clinical and operational quality.
Office Ally’s EHR product is fully certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology and over the past two years has been selected as a preferred EHR vendor for multiple regional extension centers around the country including those in Los Angeles and Orange County, California, plus centers in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland and South Florida, among others.
“We are honored to be recognized by Quest Diagnostics for our innovation and ongoing work in this important field,” said Brian O’Neill, president and CEO of Office Ally. “Electronic health records lead to improved quality, safety, efficiency and access; and our EHR 24/7 product provides a simple and very affordable way for providers to adopt EHRs and receive incentive payments from the federal government.”
Part of the economic stimulus package passed by Congress in 2009 provides incentive payments for Medicaid and Medicare providers that adopt and use certified EHRs. There are also financial penalties for Medicare providers who do not adopt a certified EHR by 2015. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 55 percent of physicians adopted an EHR in 2011.
Office Ally is the only organization in the country offering healthcare providers a full complement of revenue-cycle management services including a patient portal, electronic health records, a practice management system, a clearinghouse and a billing service all under one company. Founded in 2000 the company currently works with more than 275,000 providers and 5,600 insurance carriers in all 50 states. It also houses eligibility for nearly 400 IPAs and small health plans.
