PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Motion Picture and Television Fund (MPTF) and Dell Services have signed a seven-year agreement for Dell to oversee and deliver a full range of information technology (IT) solutions for MPTF. The agreement is designed to drive greater efficiencies across MPTF’s IT operations and enhance the accessibility and value of the information it uses to provide services.
To deliver these benefits, Dell will provide cloud-based hosting of MPTF’s MEDITECH Health Care Information System (HCIS) through Dell’s MSite solution, as well as fully-managed disaster recovery through Dell’s JSite solution. In addition, Dell will deliver a variety of solutions to MPTF, including applications services, server and storage management, data and voice network, information security and security administration.
Based outside Los Angeles, MPTF is a 90-year-old non-profit organization focused on providing community, health and social services, and financial support to entertainment industry members in need. Dell’s innovative IT solutions are designed to reduce MPTF’s IT costs and free up additional resources to serve its mission to the entertainment community.
Dell will also provide strategic health IT consulting and planning to help MPTF achieve its long-term goals in health care. Together, Dell and MPTF will review healthcare market and IT trends, implement innovative health IT solutions to improve patient care and reduce costs, and develop a strategy for physician EMRs and practice management solutions.
