Providers in Minnesota had the highest rate of e-prescribing in the nation in 2011, with 61 percent of prescriptions routed electronically, according to electronic health record vendor Surescripts. The North Star State ranked No. 1 in Surescripts' seventh annual Safe-Rx Awards, announced this week and based on the 2011 National Progress Report, which was unveiled in May.
