> The Michigan Health Information Network has contracted with consent management vendor HIPAAT to enable consumers throughout the state to keep track of when their protected health information is accessed, Health Data Management reports. Consumers also will be able to request audit records of such access from MiHIN. Article

> In a potentially pivotal development for the public health sector, a consortium of federally qualified health centers across the North Bay area around Oakland, Calif., is taking part in a pilot project testing a mobile app that enrolls patients in public assistance programs.
