MediConnect Secures Spot on Inc. 5000 List for Fifth Year in a Row

  • MediConnect Has Seen More Than 1,500 Percent Growth Since the First Measurement Year of Its Initial Inc. Award
  • Continued Growth Attributed to High Demand for Company’s Medical Record Retrieval Services and Cloud-Based Workflow Systems

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MediConnect Global today announced that Inc. magazine has once again named the company to its annual list of fastest-growing companies in America. This marks the fifth year in a row the company has received this recognition.

The Inc. 5000 profile on MediConnect Global can be seen here:

“Being recognized for five years in a row on Inc.’s list is a fantastic achievement for our company. Our year-over-year growth gives validation to the efforts we are making to maintain our status as a leader in the industry,” said Amy Rees Anderson, CEO of MediConnect. “Our plan is to continue developing new technologies that improve the ease, security and availability of medical record retrieval and exchange so we can continue this phenomenal growth trajectory for years to come.”

The Inc. 5000 list recognizes private companies that have achieved the nation's strongest three-year median revenue growth. For 2011, MediConnect Global ranked No. 3,962 overall on the list. The company recently announced its healthcare division has seen more than 2,000 percent growth since 2007, and the company has seen an overall growth of over 1,500 percent since the first measurement year of its initial Inc. award.

In the past year, MediConnect has released several new and updated features to RapidReview, the company’s proprietary cloud-based workflow system, with a focus on creating new modules and systems that streamline medical record retrieval, digitization and management. MediConnect currently counts four of the top five U.S. health plans among its clients, which include firms from the legal, life insurance and health insurance industries. MyMediConnect, the company’s personal health record (PHR), which empowers individuals to take control of their own healthcare, also saw numerous improvements since 2010, and was one of four PHRs selected as part of the Medicare PHR Choice pilot program.

“Working in collaboration with our amazing customers, we were able to identify early, the health insurance companies needs associated with meeting the demands placed on them as a result of current healthcare reforms. This allowed us to have a laser-focus on developing turnkey solutions for retrospective and prospective risk adjustment, RADV, as well as the HEDIS and Five-Star programs,” added Anderson. “Because the healthcare industry is always evolving, we will continue to develop cutting-edge solutions which make navigating the space easier for both health plans and consumers alike.”
