Each year in August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) encourages community health centers to host events, such as health fairs, to celebrate National Health Center Week. The events are used to educate the public about the mission and value of health centers. McKesson Medical-Surgical is proud to be the premier sponsor of National Health Center Week 2013: Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Transforming Health Care in Our Local Communities.

“Community Health Centers provide an important service to medically underserved populations across the country. Their commitment to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare is more than commendable,” said Clay Courville, Senior Vice President, Marketing. “We are proud and honored to be a sponsor of National Health Center Week to celebrate this positive work that takes place every day!”

McKesson Medical-Surgical will be teaming up with health centers across the country during the week of August 11-17 to celebrate the dedicated staff working within the centers and to showcase the valuable care and services that are offered within the community. Event speakers include Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services.
