The Leapfrog Group announced Tuesday that it will partner with Castlight Health on a consumer-friendly analysis of nationwide health performance. Last year, 1,430 hospitals participated in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, and this year will mark the group's third Hospital Safety Score. Castlight will analyze Leapfrog's survey results, including "unique data on early elective deliveries and infections," according to the announcement.
Castlight's analyzation of the surveys will comprise a new report, which will "serve as an important benchmarking tool to evaluate participating hospitals on quality and safety, as well as educate the public on the overall state of hospital care in the U.S.," according to Leapfrog. Announcement
