Close to one-third of providers representing 137 healthcare organizations say they are considering using their core electronic health record vendor to help them update their business intelligence (BI) solutions, according to a new report by Orem, Utah-based healthcare IT research firm KLAS. More than half of those surveyed say they plan to make such an update in the next three years, particularly as health information exchanges and accountable care organizations become more prominent.
